Does this refer to the Aikiko chip for chunky-to-planar pixels?
In the CD1200 drive announced (possibly never released), Commodore
was going to install Aikiko, and I read about third-party CD-ROMs
from e.g. Indi which used built-in software emulation for Aikiko's
task, and their drive was supposed to work even with Microcosm.
