     In the larger scheme, though, it seems unlikely that Commodore's errors
mattered much. By 1990 the home computer market and the mechanisms to support
it belonged to PC. 

     No. It was already too late. Commodore had their shot in 1985 and they
blew it. The best Commodore could reasonably have achieved after 1990 was to
win a piece of the dedicated game machine market.
