Many users have reported problems with yellowing of IIgs cases due to
long exposure to sunlight (e.g. in classrooms, etc.). Maybe someone tried
white epoxy paint as a cure or just dunked their case in strong bleach.

You might be able to tell if the plastic is genuinely originally white
with a close inspection. The condition of the multi-color logo and "Apple
IIgs" name on the front would be indicators.

Never heard of a White IIgs. I guess it's possible that early prototypes
may have had cases made from the same white plastic used for some Apple disk
drives and other products. A true white IIgs would have to be fairly rare.
