I dont think you can build a 1gig p3 system for 300$ even if you play with rebates and get alot of the compnant for near free.
Your best bet is with a 700mhz AMD. <300$ will get you the MB (100BT ethernet, 3d audio, 2d/3d 128bit video, usb, etc, etc..) <70$,
700mhz processor <25$, 10gig HD ~70$, 256meg PC133 <25$, case/250W & keyboard/mouse/speakers ~40$, floppy/CD would be
under 50$. So like 280$ in single quantity shopping online.
Contrary to people beleif its not hard for MS or Sony to build 300$ console and actualy make some money on that initiale sale.

I personaly think a 700mhz duron kick any other processor even half its price. How much for a 14mhz 68020ec?
You are probably better off running UAE on this sub 300$ system then on a basic a1200.
