Actually I think it may already have been done. A group of scientists in
India have developed the prototype for a $300 computer for the masses.
Although recently a separate story proposed for India modern playstation 2
or Xbox as the basis for such a computer.
I think the current Shift magazine mentions the cheap computer prototype.
No idea what its features are.
