Quite frankly

    Who gives a rats. The english language is the only current language that no
body uses. I was born in the US live in Australia and have lived in Europe. I
have met and talked to Poms, yanks, scots, aussi's and I have a sister living in
Hull. To this day I have never met anyone who speaks English the way things are
spelt.

    If you wish to speak English then a pre requirement in Greek and Latin is a
absolute must. Why? Because language progresses and the mind of the Poms is pre
1950 and unwilling to give up the vestige of being the one's who wrote the rules
for the language. Of course I refer only to the (learned) Oxford brain stunned.

    Phonetic spelling should take place. In my travels and with my inability to
spell, ( for from the day I was set upon to spell correctly I (at 5 years old
and only a few months at school saw the futility of the spelling in English)
everyone knows the word that I have tried to convey regardless of how it's
spelt. With an understanding (fully) of what the written was trying to convey.

    So if I ruffle a few pomy feathers who cares. You are born. Live. Then you
Die. If the only thing you are remembered for after you die is that you could
not spell -------- Well at least your remembered.
