Pineapple Clone

I got my hands on one of these today. I have to say that it's really a well
built computer -hand made and all. The case is certainly constructed better
than the original Apple II, which is what it's supposed to be a clone of.
The only thing that I consider a design flaw is how high the keyboard sits
above the desk. Your hands have to be floating in the air to be able to type
on it.

It also has built in joystick ports, one on either side of the case, and a
volume control knob on the back. The Pineapple label graphic is very nice,
and the lid fits perfectly (none of those annoying black toothed snap
thingys.)

This one even has a Pineapple floppy drive. I didn't even know they made
one! It also has a coleco joystick, with the DIN 5 connector for the side
ports. This particular computer was bought as a kit, and the man who built
it did an excellent job of soldering things in place. He obviously knew what
he was doing. The case looks more like a Franklin Ace than an Apple II but
the Apple form factor is basically there.

It also has, among others, a A.P.P.L.E Big Board card, which appears to be a
memory expansion card but I'm not sure yet. I'll be posting photos of it on
my web page, which should be up and running by the middle of next week. This
is the first Pineapple that I've seen in the flesh.
