Identification of Cards

I got a used IIgs today because it had serveral interesting
looking cards in it.

First, I have a card with a 1/4" plug on it. It mounts in the
25-pin sized hole on the back of the IIgs. I has a chip,
a few resisters and it is about three inches square. It has
a cable which plugs into the Fan plug on the motherboard
and it has a cable which plugs into J25 on the motherboard.
I suspect that this is some kind of sound modification. Is
it the legendary stereo card mod? I have tried to run the
Sierra games on it but the sound only comes from the
built in speaker. Does it need special software to use the
sound card? If so, what utilizes it?

Then I have a card that has a cable on it which mounts on
the back panel with a 25-pin connector. It is labelled
"Apple Computer 820-0153-A, 1990". Ther is a id
on the ROM which says "341-0803" and there is a chip
called the "Sandwich II". I suspect this is a Apple High
Speed SCSI card. How does this card work? Is there
a utility disk that is required to operate it? How to you
check to see if it is working? When plugged in, I get
a "SCSI drive not found" message.
