     Have made several keyboards but never come up with a good way to change key cap
markings. The result either looks junky or it looks cool but won't last if someone actually
uses the keyboard.

     What I usually do is find some keycaps that have the right markings and modify the
underside to permit fitting them on or, if necessary, gluing them to the KB switch stem.
The clear rubbery silicon stuff is good for that sort of gluing.
