Is there a sequence for RAM cartridges on the DeskJet, or can they be installed
in any order?
After a discussion on the short-lived replacement for A2MG, I purchased from
different sources a couple of 256K RAM modules for the HP DeskJet 500C at home
so I could try some other fonts on it with AppleWorks.
The two RAM modules are a little different. One is an exposed card with a
couple of plastic alignment notches. This card fits entirely within the
DeskJet's housing, allowing the plastic kickout panel to be replaced. The
second RAM is an actual cartridge. The cartridge has the numbers "22707B"
highlighted in green on it's label. This started me wondering if the "B" could
mean the "B-cartridge" and that there could be a proper sequence to the RAMs
installation.
BTW, No visible ports on the Desk Writer 550C for RAM cartridges.
