I have a 2MB AE GS-RAM-ULTRA which uses fairly hard to find 44C256-10, 20
pins.
So far I found 6 only, and I need 10 more.
4 were on my old 1MB 286 clunker, no hesitation in using them, besides they
are socketed.
2 were on a 384K RAM expansion card for the XT/AT, also no problem losing
those.
that's all I have, I'm not sure of the bank configurations on this card.
Can anyone shed any light on this, I don't have a book, and I'd like to know
if I can run any options between 2MB and 4MB for now.
The banks I have full are the 16 sockets nearest to the front.
If it's anything like my GS Juice Plus, it'll be 1MB, 2MB and 4MB only, but
then they are 1-bit chips and it takes 8 to make a byte. This card is
different and the chips are 4-bit, so it only takes two to make a full byte,
so maybe there are other options.
