The school runs a Mac net, which they like to
call Swamp Net (Okay so not really creative) Anyway- I have two main
probalems. I believe I can attach the PB 520 to a Geoport Network Adapter,
which I can get here. Now my second problem is with the machine. I got it
used, and I am not entirely sure what is causing this problem (but I have my
guesses) The machine boots fine with the normal (MacLink Local Talk
Quicktime etc...) And runs for about 10-15 minutes, before shutting down.
Now I spoke with a Mac guy at my Local Compucentre (if you know what it is
great, if not the equivilant of a CompUSA. Anyway, I noticed that the power
cord heats up, not too bad, but still enough I am guessing to have an
emergency backup in the unit shut it off. Was this a known problem? My
third, yes another one, problem is the batteries that do not hold a charge
anymore. These are the Mac Intelligent Batteries (I never trust anything
intelligent when it comes to batteries). Anyone know where I can get my
hands on two of them. Anyway thanks, and if any of you MAC heads out there
have the spare parts ( I at one time had several hundred dollars worth (when
MACS were green screened), I would be more than willing to pay well +
shipping and handling...
Any and all help appreciated....
