     As Steve says, to do much with ProDOS you need to get a Language Card-- it
goes into Slot 0.

     The reason you get a relocation error on a 48k II+ is that, when a typical
ProDOS diskette is booted, ProDOS likes to move stuff-- think it's mainly BASIC
system-- into Language Card memory. Since you do not have a Language Card, the
stuff cannot be moved there.

     DOS 3.3 and most programs on DOS 3.3 diskettes will work fine without a
Language Card.
