In the original IIc AppleTalk support was in slot 5. Slot 7 had code for
booting from the external 5.25" floppy drive (i.e. slot 6, drive 2). The
first update added support for the UniDisk 3.5 in slot 5, I can't remember
if slot 7 changed. The next update added the memory expansion which it
mapped to slot 4 and moved the mouse to slot 7.
