If it's the connector at location 'J25', then it's the Ensoniq I/O
molex connector (see my post earlier in this thread for details).

The original Apple IIgs motherboard (ROM 00, 01) did have the
same IIe numeric keypad pin connector at location 'J19' (as well
as a IIe keyboard and power pin connector) just next to the ROM
socket. Most boards had just bare solder pads at that location,
though those distributed as IIe-to-IIgs upgrade board kits did already
have connectors pre-soldered in. Many of these boards managed
to end up shipping in regular Apple IIgs cases though, probably
due to Apple having a surplus of them (the IIgs upgrade wasn't
very popular from what I recall).
These boards had no difference from the rest though, apart
from their having the three pin connectors already in place.
