I can confirm this, as that's how I was running mine. Now I have the AHS in
slot 2, and it works the same.

This is not what I wanted to hear. :(
I thought the ROM3 was an improvement to the ROM1. Now I find out that I
must lose another slot if I upgrade a ROM1 to a ROM3. Please tell me it
isn't true. !

BTW: Thanks for the electrical explanation of how an AppleTalk network
operates. Very interesting.
