     You could try copying blocks $00 and $01 from any diskette which boots
ProDOS v2.03 to blocks $00 and $01 on the hard disk. Block Warden is a good
block editor for this kind of work. (Another good block editor is Block Works.
Copy II Plus, v8.3 should work, too.)

     Beyond the above, ProSel 16 includes a utility for fixing errors on a hard
disk.
