I'm not aware of a general purpose and widely available drive, but I
wouldn't be surprised if someone had done one for a special application.
I have seen one instance of this: the Nestar networking system could
operate the file server from either a hard drive (20 MB or 40 MB) or
from a dual 8 inch floppy drive.
I don't recall what the capacity was - I expect they were double sided
double density, which would make it about 1.3 MB per disk. (The 8 inch
DSDD disks I used on a CP/M system were 77 tracks per side, 17 sectors
per track, 512 bytes per sector, for a total of 1309 KB per disk.)
