Hmm, I wonder if your computer is forgetting it's ettings.  Go into the
control panel (OpenApple- Control- Escape) and make sure the slot you
have the drive in is set to "your card" and the boot slot is set to that
slot.

As suggested in another responce, you battery bay be going bad.  If your
control panel resets too often, replace the battery.
