//e 40pin connector card by metrabyte?

Hi,
This is way cool!!! I've known for some time that this group
existed, but alas I'm involved most of the time with the "other" type of
computer. I'm fairly well aquainted with the //e's and have written my own
crude OS entirely in binary. I contrived it primarily for writing and
displaying opcodes and the like. It uses the 80 col. memory with the express
purpose of displaying the additional opcodes/addressing modes of the 65c02.
I had to re-write some of the rom routines in order to accomplish this. I
was tired of all those ??? marks in my code*LOL*.

However I recently acquired another //e for my collection and it haad
in it what looks like an IDE card, similar in shape to a Super serial card,
but with a 40 pin connector, the only marking's I've found is a sticker that
says "metrabyte corpoation revision 8540 s/n 161219". Since the dates on the
rom chip( also labeled "APM-08 Rv.1 (C)1985 MBC) I'm confused by this
because I didn't think the IDE standard was developed as yet. Can anyone
help identify this card?

Thanx in advance for any/all help rendered!!!
