Yes, there are telnet clients. Spectrum is the main product, which is on
my wish list for when the cash comes along. I have recently written a
telnet NDA, which you can download and try out. It is $5 shareware if
you decide you'd like to keep using it.

There are two ways to do ftp at present. GWFTP, a text only port of unix
ftp, and Arachnid. GWFTP is functional, though not very friendly, and
has a nasty bug, ie it crashes whenever you close a connection. Arachnid
is the web browser I have been developing. It is currently at preview 3.
It is quite limited, no graphics, forms or anything fancy yet, but you
can browse simple sites. the ftp support requires the entry of a valid
ftp URL, ie it doesn't yet display directories. It is possible to browse
the Trenco archive's web interface and click on the ftp links to
download.

I am also currently at work on an ftp NDA which I hope to release in
coming weeks.
