Re: Sirius Ram Cards

Well, I ran the Claris memory test on both cards in the Rom 03. It said :

    EXPANSION MEMORY : $4E0000

    Bad memory detected at $2FB440
    and then again at $3FBC40.

It is correct to assume that, since the Rom 03 has a meg of built in
memory, it was booting 6.0.1 okay because it didn't need to get that far
into the expansion ram to run?

Although with the 2 meg card the Rom 01's would boot 6.0.1. Is that
memory that is bad on the 4 meg card 'low' enough that the Rom 01 would have
to use it to boot 6.0.1?

The 2 meg card also has a bad chip now. It was at $1D1008. I can't get
the Rom 01's to boot with it now. I get a message saying the finder needs
System 6.0.1 and at least 300K free memory to run. I guess all of that
pulling the card and replacing
it fried a chip. I was very careful to ground myself before I touched
anything.

The refresh tests are running now. They all finished okay.
