Don't know anything about the GS JUICE PLUS card. Have you tried putting
your Serius RAM card into the Expansion Memory Slot?
You don't mention trying the Focus drive in Slot 7. Slot 7 is where it
likes to be.
Does it seem like things went bad after running some particular piece of
software? Anyway, you might try scrapping any "Desktop" files in you Icons
folders. (When these become corrupted all sorts of weird stuff can happen.)
