As a multiplatform networking guy myself, I can only say:

    1> I am very, very impressed
    2> You must have a very patient S.O.
    3> Now you just need to add Netware!

(You could easily do that. . . add in Netware for Macintosh, etc.  If my
wife wasn't already glaring at me over the 100+ Apples in my garage at the
moment, I'd give it a go.)

By the way, you should get 10Mb out of your coax Ethernet.  Coax/UTP are the
same speed so far as Ethernet is concerned, particularly if you are just
using hubs.
