Well, Michael, you are absolutely correct. I'm glad I prefaced my post with with
a disclaimer. My memory was WAY off on that one. It would be interesting to see
done.
Now if one had the LCD screen, and was using battery power, how hard would it be
to get two hours of battery life in that space?
While drafting this post, a phone call took me away from the computer, on the way
back I glanced at an open "Incider" issue that I've been reading (January 1987)
and on page 35 was an ad from "Roger Coats" for a totally portable //c: C-VUE LCD
flat monitor $299.00; Prairie Power System Battery Pack & Carrying Case $139
(external battery pack looks to be a sealed lead acid battery in size).
Would it be that difficult to have a "battery brick" that would feed the //c the
power it needs?
I would think that better than a //c would be the //c+ with a memory expansion
card. Four times greater CPU speed, 5.5 times more main storage, faster access to
the storage, and an additional one meg of RAM would make a nice AppleWorks road
companion, don't you think?
