I got my first computer, an Apple II+ with Z-80 card, from my grandfather at
age 5 (in 1988). The next year he switched to PCs, and gave me his Laser 128
(similar to a IIc) and full collection of software including Zardax word
processor. The Laser 128 was my main computer for a few years. It broke down
though.

I then went to PCs myself, and the II+ was traded in on a second hand 286
with 512k of RAM, CGA graphics and a 40 meg hard disk -- still very old for
the time but it was fun.
