The limit is with GS/OS as well as ProDOS. This is why many people use hfs
for larger partitions (even though hfs can't be accessed from ProDOS). A
certain part of the partition is set aside for mapping the partition and
once that gets used up at 32 meg there isn't anymore room. Some file systems
have a limited area, but increase each 'block' size so the partition can
grow. The downside is that even a small file fills the entire block.
