Keyboard switch selects between QWERTY and Dvorak layouts on US models
and between QWERTY and local layout on international models. On international
models it also selects between two Character Generator ROM images (eg in UK
it selects between hash and pound symbol).

80/40 is tied to what was the cassette input on the Apple ][/][+/][e and
sets the default video mode at startup (40 or 80 columns) [Pascal 1.3 knows
about this switch, not sure if it is useful in other environments].
