I just setup such a system with my IIGS and Linux, but using the built-in
serial port for modem. You probably need a super serial card or similar to
work with a IIe.The serial cables are connected at the center with a null
modem adapter. On the IIGS I use a IIGS specific com program Spectrum.
The pc has the serial modem cable hooked up to ttyS0. I use minicom that is
available for Linux. I am trying to get the apple IIGS emulator kegs running.
Minicom configures pretty quickly. I think the printer and modem cables are
different, but am not sure.
