Hello All,
I picked up a 'liron' card at the apple II rescue a few weeks ago. I
placed it into slot #5 on my IIe and tried to access a 3.5" unidisk with
it. The machine refused to boot up. If I remove the drive, the machine
will boot from slot #6. I can view the ROM on the card using the
monitor. I did not try to plug any other device into the LIRON card.
If the unidisk was bad and not the card then I am lucky. Can I plug a
regular 5.25" platinum (or beige) drive into this IO card? What about a
duodisk or a platinum 3.5" drive? If I build a super drive out of a
platinum drive case and a 1.44MB mechanism from a Mac LC-II, can the
LIRON use it to it's fullest capabilities?
