Re: transwarp weirdness



Ben,

You have pretty much described the symptoms of my TWGS (10MHz, ROM1.8 +
32Kcache) and ROM1. I can usually run mine for 5 -20 mins, but eventually it
dies. Speed is irrelevant, I have 8MHz, 10MHz and 12.5MHz options, but they
all die in the same fashion.
So far I have not tried any of the PSU/lead mods, but I am sure the TWGS is
the culprit because the GS runs rock solid when its out. Tried it in another
ROM1 machine (without PSU fan) with same annoying results. One thing I would
like to try is to replace the 40pin DIL pins where the processor cable goes,
because mine looks a little dull possibly causing poor conduction.
Unfortunately I have to leave my TWGS laying beside the GS because
reliability is more important to me than speed. Speed is a close second
though :)
