Engaging in the time-honored practice of releasing vaporware, The Big
Apple Users Group, a computer club for users of Apple II computers,
emulators, and old Macs in NYC, hereby announces its meeting for Monday,
April 23, 2001, at 6:30 pm.
We have not actually finished planning, but we will either try again to
install an HP DeskJet 420 inkjet printer on an Apple IIgs running
AppleWorks 5.1, or Polly will demo her genealogy programs on her IIgs.
There is some question whether the HP DeskJet drivers in AW5.1 actually
include the 420. In any case (or at least in this case), Polly has just
returned from a genealogy conference in Salt Lake City, and would like to
show off her Apple II genealogy programs.
You may also ask any questions about anything you ever wanted to know
about the Apple II but were afraid to ask. We will get you answers.
Eventually.
The meeting will take place at 345 West 58th Street, Apt 5L, between 8th &
9th Aves. in Manhattan (NYC, not KS), just west of Columbus Circle, and
next to the hole in the ground which used to be the site of the Coliseum.
You may also call our hotline at (212)606-2297 for meeting announcements.
If you have further questions and would like to talk with a real person,
you may call us at (212)956-3634 or (718)499-7470.
