a serial interface card - ready to be connected to a IIc. The big chip
is a 6551 or 6850, istn't it?

the big card is a IBS 16k card clone. This behaves like an Apple
Language card, but it does not have the F8 ROM socket. The small board
may be some kind of "Wildcard" - this saves a snapshot of the RAM
content to disk to allow pirating of protected software.
