Thanks! Yeah......works like a champ. At last count it had the original 2
(two) bad blocks it shipped with. And that's on the second 20 meg partition
that sees all the use. The boot partition with 6.0.1 on it just kinda hangs
out 'cause it's got all the apps on it, but the second one is the one that
gets written to and erased all the time. Sorry about your Vulcan :<( That
was a nifty product.

I actually wanted (read lusted after) a Vulcan but A.E. WANTED TO DAMN MUCH
MONEY! Very much like everything Apple II back then. I can't believe I paid
$450.00 for an ImageWriter II back then. Crazy. I did buy a Transwarp
though, and then bought the 32K cache upgrade to go with it, and it still
runs like a scalded dog to this day. The INNERDRIVE was $$$$$$$$ cheaper,
and seemed it was every bit as fast as any Vulcan I had played with.

I have actually had only one hardware failure since I bought my ROM 01 IIGS
9/87..........just last week my BRAM battery died. (sniff......) A pair of
dykes, a soldering iron and $11.00 dollars later and I was back in
business!!!!! 14 years for a battery, I'd say I got my money's worth. This
isn't any "baby box" IIGS either, I pounded on this little guy to the tune
of 2500 plus hours.
