Re: Where to get RAM for IIGS

Ok I happen to find a 286 in my basement that got donated to the Internet
Club from the college I attended (long story) anyway I took the chips out
and added them to the IIGS RAM Expansion card. I turned it on and it will
not recognize it. I noticed on the chips the soldered on ones say TMS
4256-15NLA on the top and EHP 8749 and an A on the bottom. The ones I put
in say TMS 4256-12NL on the top and EGP 8740 on the next line and nothing
after that. I assume it needs the same specs on the ram I put it for it to
work? I also noticed I had some inserted than the rest of them are I was
curios if that was the problem but I fixed it and still no luck. Is it
better off buying another board with more RAM? Please help.
