     Good point. Having lots of copies and versions available usually increases
interest in an 'original'.

     Pretty much. Look at Ultima I. It is one of the most widely distributed
games ever. Originals are, certainly, less rare than originals of hundreds of
other Apple II games. Yet, Ultima I continues to sell for high prices whereas
no one pays big bucks for much rarer originals.

     Of course, Jeff is right when he says "The law of supply and demand comes
into play". He is very mistaken about how it works when it comes to originals
and copies. What matters about copies is that everyone knows they are copies.
This is clearly true for software downloads.

     The wide distribution of Ultima I copies and continued interest in the
game makes the originals much more valuable.
