Re: netatalk & IIGS
To those who responded -- thanks! I've suddenly gotten busy on another
project, but if I figure out the trick, I'll write it up for the FAQ. I'm
still playing with it 10 minutes at a time here & there...
Just for the record, the setup again is:
G4/MacOS 9.1
PowerPC7500/dual boot MacOS8.6 & LinuxPPC2000 (Q1)
Apple IIgs/GSOS 6.0.1
Configurations:
G4 <-ethernet-> 7500 running Linux: Can mount home dir from G4
(so netatalk 1.4b2+asun2.0a18.2 seems to work)
(BTW in the AppleVolumes.default file there is mention of
ProDOS, but I don't know the magic incantation to invoke
it...)
G4 <-ethernet-> 7500 running MacOS: fullu functional both ways
IIgs <-serial-> 7500 running MacOS: can mount Mac HD on IIgs desktop
IIgs <-serial-> G4 via 7500&Appletalk Bridge: Ditto
So it seems to me at least things are right on the hardware end.
What I can't do is see the 7500 from the gs while it's running Linux. I'm
sure it's a config thing in netatalk/atalkd...
Cheers!
