Perhaps other can spell it out more accurately exactly what you would do, but
with AppleWorks 4 and 5, you can:

- Lookup a data base entry in another data base. (Jump to it and view.) I
believe you could also do a lookup to the same data base you are already in,
but I have never tired it. 
- Lookup a data base entry in a special word processor file containing more
lengthy details (too big to fit in a data base field). - called "windowing"
- Import data from another data base or spresdsheet into your first data base
(I do this all the time to find "people who subscribe to this who also
subscribe to that," etc.)
- Export data from one data base to another. I do this to build a subscription
(mailing list) file from a "customer" data base. When they buy something,
AppleWorks automatically shoots them out to a mailing list.

That's just a general description -- and there are a LOT more interesting
features than just those. In all cases above, you would need a "link" or a
common word in each data base.

In your case, you could do "Select all records that contain --- Phantom" if the
word Phantom was somewhere in the record of all related rides. You don't need
AW5 to do that. AW 5 is primarily for linking and looking up in other data
bases.
