Yes, the Atari 2600 uses a 6502.
In regards to someone attempting to emulate a 32-bit (internal) processor
(running at 8MHz, ideally) on a 16-bit processor running at 2.8MHz (stock
best), all I can say is that someone has too much time on their hands.
