Re: help me populating this card...
Patrick,
Lucky for you, I have one of those (with a minor fault), I think they are
pretty rare these days. Anyway this is the g o . . .
Crystal Y1 is 4.433619, yes it's the colour burst freq., although I don't
know if it PAL-G.
U1 is a 74LS74
U2 is a TCA 650, not sure what this is. PAL Video Encoder ?
U3 is a 74LS164
U4 is a 74LS175
Yes the VIDEO INPUT lead goes to the video pin on the main board, can't
remember which pin. Check your A2 Reference, I think it's pin 2 or 3
J1 is for connecting an RF modulator, whereas J2 is for PAL VIDEO out using
an RCA lead.
J1 pinouts are L to R (viewed from the component side)
1 = gnd out
2 = video out
3 = n/c
4 = +5V or +12V out, not sure, check with a multimeter.
Sorry I don't have any documentation (that I can find). And I'm not even
sure it came with any. I bought this card 21 years ago now and my memory
isn't that good.
