Re: My original IIGS monitor just blew up!
Seems like every year or two I get hit with a bad case of Nostalgia and I go hunting for old Apple II gear. As some of you may or may not recall, a couple of years ago I bought an Ambery RGB to VGA converter box so I can have a backup in case my GS monitor dies. The Ambery box worked well enough for games, but the Finder desktop (640x200) had pretty nasty artifacts (vertical stripes).
So this year I found another solution, actually found it on an Amiga forum, they recommended the GBS-8220. I just ordered it from Jamma Boards for $40, which is less than half of the Ambery box. I will post pictures of this unit when I get it. I'm hoping the Finder artifacts will be resolved!

disclaim: I don't work for either Ambery or Jamma Boards.
