It's a speeded-up DOS 3.3 with the error messages removed (I forget what
features were added in the few bytes they saved).  I think the main
advantage it had was that it was shareware from the very beginning,
meaning that developers could use it without having to specifically
license it.

That said, I seem to recall having some intermittent, nasty problems with
Diversi-DOS, and I specifically went through and got rid of it on any disk
that had it.  Beagle Bros' "Pronto DOS" is a far better choice for an
accelerated DOS 3.3...much more compatible with 'pure' DOS 3.3 than any
other 'high speed' DOS 3.3 variant I've ever used.
