I have found Apple Oasis, AppleWin, and ApplePC to all be excellent. They
all have various strengths and weaknesses. AppleWin is the easiest of the
group to use but is also the least powerful by far of the three. Apple Oasis
is very awesome but is Shareware. ApplePC is very good if you like using
MS-DOS programs (I don't.)
I probably use AppleWin more than any other, because it is so easy to use
and my emulator needs are comparatively simple.
If the one that hung on you is Apple Oasis, there is an item on their Web
page about how to fix that.
