When I entered college in 1994, I had a single IBM-XT (w/ 20M hard-drive
running pc-dos 2.10, cast iron chassis, 640K ram, etc...). When I
turned it on, the lights in my dorm room dimmed... :)

Then a month later I moved into a fraternity where half of the members
were either comp sci's or electrical engineers. I think we had more
_running_ computers than total members. I rarely had to turn on the
heat in my room during the winter. :)

The three most dangerous things are a programmer with a soldering
iron, a manager who codes, and a user who gets ideas.
