Applied Engineering made a card (ColorLink?) which piggy-backed on the
RamWorks memory cards and provided both analogue and digital RGB. On a IIe
the auxilliary slot was preferred because it has several video related
signals which aren't available on the other slots.

There are also RGB cards which plug into slot 7, it's the only regular slot
which has the colour reference signal on it, but they still need to pick up
some other signals from the motherboard. I have a Taxan-Kaga card in my IIe
which also connects to the internal video connector (the 4-pin header) and
via a clip to one pin of an IC. It provides an analogue RGB output and works
in a II, II+ or IIe.
