Wow...
In Australia, in the home, everything usually is on standard 240 volt
outlets, nothing special for dryers but hot water heaters, stoves or air
conditioners sometimes have their own circuit and may be wired in directly.
There is 415 volt three-phase power which is used for industrial machines or
motors. Most homes don't have that connected.
