Bzzt! dd works fairly well (under Linux or (maybe) *BSD anyway). While
Win9x/NT/2K might not have disk-imaging software, there are plenty of
programs out there, such as WinImage (very cool) and RAWRITE (which is a
command-line app that runs under DOS).
If you're looking to archive your stuff, though, a disk archive is about the
worst way to go. For copy-protected stuff, it might be the only way to go,
but for everything else (especially if it's already on a ProDOS-formatted
floppy) you should create file archives with ShrinkIt. There are even tools
available, such as NuLib, that will let you manipulate ShrinkIt archives on
non-Apple II systems.
