My dear sir, as a member of the Preservation of Ridiculously Old And
Useless Bits group, I beseech you to make a backup copy of that
13-sector disk at some point in the future.
As you may know, old disks can suffer from "bit rot", from a variety
of sources.. strong magnetic fields, and even the oxide getting
unglued from the plastic media. Your collector's item may eventually
turn into a pretty disk with a nice label.. and no readable data.
Whoops, the label adhesive dried out, and cracked. So now all you
have is this pretty disk, with a smudged spot where there WAS a
label.. and no readable data, either..
Who wants to play disk-frisbee?
