Re: Which IIGS do you choose?

This is interesting to me in a couple of ways. First, nearly everyone prefers the modern convenience and connectivity of the CFFA3K and Uthernet vs. a loaded AE dream machine. In summary, practicality wins over nostalgia.

Secondly, both machines are well stocked with their own premium parts, but System A(E) cost a *lot* more and took more time to collect over time than System B(udget) did. Aside from the SecondSight card in System B (which I admit is semi-useless but still hard to get) everything else is still obtainable with patience and a hefty budget.

Yes, but the answers given reflect the initial question, which was which IIgs stays on the desk. In which case it seems natural to keep the more practical option as opposed to the nostalgic one.

If the question had of been "which IIgs would you sell off?" the answers may have been different. Actually, thinking about it, there's a good chance people would have answered the same (i.e. system B) so that they could have the option of getting at those rare items if they were put up for sale... ;-)
