Steve Wozniak is the genius behind the personal computer revolution, creating
the first smaller, faster unit that came to be known as the Apple Computer in
1976. Woz was a college dropout working for Hewlett Packard when he began
tinkering in the stockroom after hours. The result of his work was the first
truly personal computer, and
Steve Wozniak and his high school buddy Steve Jobs changed the future and
became multi-millionaires. They also changed the corporate rules of America,
running their company informally, and without rules. Woz and Jobs brought an
anti-corporate ethic to the Fortune 500 world that took Apple through ups and
downs, but never quite out.
